Patrick Meaney, 38, has been in the hospital with mounting medical bills for several months following the diagnosis, his brother Jason said.
With a new wife and a young daughter at home in Hamburg, Patrick's loved ones are coming to his aid having raised more than $600 on a GoFundMe as of Tuesday morning.
"Patrick is a hard worker and is the type of guy that will help anyone out," the page says.
"He is the type of guy that can accomplish anything if he sets his mind to it. He is very loving and caring."
